Indigo Palm Supports Child Protection Center

Beaver and Erin Shriver attended Men, Whiskey, Watches and Wheels on December 15, 2017 at Edson Keith Mansion. The event was a blast and raised a bunch of money for the Child Protection Center in Sarasota, Florida.

The Child Protection Center, Inc. (CPC) was established in 1980. CPC initially provided only child abuse intervention services through the Child Protection Team. This program now works together with the Department of Children and Families and Law Enforcement in the investigation of child abuse cases and also coordinates community-wide services for affected children.

Here’s a review of the event from Sarasota Magazine.

We donated a 5-night / 4-day stay at Indigo Palm, Kamalame Cay added in all food and drinks and Watermakers Air donated two round-trip tickets.

Indigo Palm and Best Buddies

Beaver and Erin Shriver continue to support Best Buddies at their annual Miami Gala. What a fantastic fundraising event for a great cause – Best Buddies. Best Buddies is an organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

We donated a 5-night / 4-day stay at Indigo Palm, Kamalame Cay added in all food and drinks and Watermakers Air donated two round-trip tickets.

More than 3 million dollars was raised at this year’s event to help Best Buddies’ eight formal programs — Middle Schools, High Schools, Colleges, Citizens, e-Buddies®, Jobs, Ambassadors, and Promoters. These programs positively impact nearly 1.1 million individuals with and without disabilities worldwide. Check out this review of the event.

She’s Getting There!

Indigo Palm at Kamalame Cay is getting close.

Roof? Check. Plumbing? Check. Electrical? Check. We just need to finish a few interior walls, seal the floor and add some furniture. Won’t be long now!

Indigo Palm Construction Update

The shingles are going on and she’s looking good! A group from Elle Magazine is at Kamalame Cay now, so we are getting some great aerial shots of the construction progress from their drone. Walls and electrical are next!

Indigo Palm Roof is Going Up

It’s New Year’s Day and the roof at Indigo Palm is starting to take shape. We love the variety of roof lines from the bedrooms transitioning through the breezeways with the kids’ sleeping nooks to the center Great Room roof – looks great!

We are Underway!

Construction on Indigo Palm is rolling right along and it’s starting to really look like something! We just returned from a fun week at Kamalame. Lots of house planning meetings (usually over a glass of wine or sitting on the beach with toes in the sand).

The front and back decks are up, so we could stand and really get a peek at what we’ll have for a view – incredible!
